I have had the honor of studying with amazing teachers over the last five years.  Pranams to Peter, Sondra, & Raghunath.

My first YTT with Peter Rizzo at Bhava Yoga Center in Brattleboro, VT emphasized long deep exploration and traditionally balanced sequencing.  Little did I know how good the training was at the time.
My first teaching experience was with recovering drug addicts & alcoholics in a residential setting. It was amazing to witness the healing effects of the mind-body connection. Yoga's proven capacity to detoxify the body, enhance meditation, and access the deeper layer of the emotional body was especially beneficial to those in early recovery.
As a result of this experience my husband and I established the Yoga 12 Project -- a resource that combines yoga with the 12 Steps as outlined in the book Alcoholics Anonymous.

I completed the Advanced to Master YTT with Sondra Loring and Raghunath at Sadhana Center for Yoga & Meditation in NY this past summer. This training gave me a deep appreciation of bhakti, the devotional path within yoga.  This exposure has led me, and my students, to bring chanting with the harmonium into every practice.

I recently completed the Teaching Yoga to at-risk populations training at the Niroga Institute in Berkeley, CA.  I look forward to establishing relationships and serving those at-risk in Maine.
